For Rent

Time to Rant!,
or Time to whine?
you choose

Our Armed forces is for rent these days, and it looks like it's not going to end anytime soon. We, Canadians pay taxes to maintain a defense force that can respond to any type of crisis on Canadian SOIL. Since the Sixties our "leaders" have been advising Canadians that we must do "peacekeeping" missions. Some of the missions have been peacekeeping(the military calls it policing), most of the others have been All Out War or just plain old security work protecting the conquests and newly acquired resources of someone else.

The Grits were good at selling Canadians on the Peacekeeper ideology, But thanks to Harper ... the veil has been lifted.

Now our military works for foreign nations, just like a mercenary. But the main difference is that this merc force doesn't get paid, This is all "free" work the Canadain taxpayers will cover. Our warriors will die for the interests for others, and its rarely to protect Canadian interests. This will continue until we run out of manpower and money, then we as Canadians will truly be defenseless and most likely be annexed by a foreign power.

So long and thanks for all the Beer Eh!

I just ran across this blog.. I like our new gear! I think its great that we are going out and fighting for other people’s interests. It will contribute to our overall toughness rating round the world.. Lumberjacking and Hockey were just not enough to earn real respect.. but now that we are fighting real battles with guns and high tech munitions we are really f'in tough now.. Almost as tough as Amarakins.. but they always give us something to shoot for or at. Actually, they are usually the ones shooting at us, or at least dropping bombs on us. So I say hurrah to our military, but I say that we do need to devote more of our budget to military spending and I am sure that our great new President er.. Prime minister will see to that eventually.. maybe even before he rounds up all the Marijuana users and sets our judicial system straight and makes our streets safe once again from the great evils of the friendly sister Mary Jane.. that would be great. I am looking forward to the great future of petty disputes while the environmental conditions constantly improve with all the devoted attention we direct to the solving of oil shortages with more oil from our great tar sand reserves. Again, our President will see to it that we sell off that sand and the rights to land use for the price of our sovereignty. The future is bright and productive. Yay war. Oh and I really hope that we get at least one Coal burning power plant on the Island so we can use more energy.. Please BC Hydro? Please?
